thanks for the watch ^^
You're welcome. I wanted to ask though, what do you think about red and black on a pony? I don't know if Ruby's mane is black, but it's dark enough for me to consider it black. Anyway, I've been trying to design an OC that uses red and black, and I have been told by many that it just doesn't work. I have been looking at the psychology of colors, and red, black and silver seem to be the best fitting colors for my OC. I was thinking of going with a red coat, silver eyes, and a black, or dark colored mane. I really don't want to screw this up, I just like the design I want, but if it just won't look good, I guess I'll need to change the character. Do you think it's possible for my design to work, or should I change it?
honestly, i run a blog dealing with this sort of thing, mlp OC designs, where i rate them on their looks. In my opinion, red and black ponies don't look good at all, especially the way yours does. that is a seriously overused color scheme and it's very bland and it doesn't represent the show from where the character is from. the character should look like i can fit in the background with the characters from the show. you also don't want to OVERthink the design or else it'll look bad but have some sort of meaning to their personality. You should honestly just change the palette to something different unless you want to fall into the category of bronies with bad OCs
Okay, I just felt the black would have been a good idea. If I kept the red and silver, do you think yellow would be a good replacement? I have been looking at color wheels and it would seem like a good idea, but I don't have much of an eye for this sort of thing.
